We're tossing snowballs at the Saskatchewan River
We're showing no signs of succumbing to winter

And if you let me take your hand,
We might have a fighting chance at scaling this valleyside
While keeping our street-walking shoes warm and dry

You're digging your heels in the ice to stay standing
And as I laugh at your idea, I feel myself falling

And though we're just two dots of grey
On a blank canvas snowy day,
Our footprints are burning a path that's much greater than both of our shapes

You're here with me on the weariest days,

In spite of our delays
